Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor - Shipping

Job Details

The Warehouse Supervisor leads and oversees warehouse activities, specifically in the Shipping Department. They ensure efficient order selection and shipping processes while maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 5:30pm onwards

Responsibilities
  • Supervise team members in assembling customer orders accurately and timely for shipment.
  • Create a professional environment with colleagues and external customers.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Focus on improving productivity levels and processes within the department.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies effectively.
  • Maximize quality and productivity by evaluating performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of warehousing experience required; previous supervisory experience is a must.
  • Experience in managing a unionized workforce is advantageous.
  • Self-starter with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and judgment.
  • Able to lift heavy objects occasionally and work at heights when required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in AS400, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to plan workload and staff assignments efficiently.
