Radar Technician

JOB TITLE: Electronics Radar Technician at Scientific Research Corporation

The Electronics Radar Technician role at Scientific Research Corporation is ideal for individuals with a passion for working on EW/RF radar systems. This position at the company's Eielson AFB location in Alaska offers the opportunity to provide maintenance and repair services for FSU Threat Radar systems at the JPARC on Eielson AFB.

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of three years' work related experience
• EW/RF radar technician experience with system theory knowledge
• Detailed understanding of electronics theory and network theory
• Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs at component level
• Communicate effectively in oral and written form
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
• Valid Driver's License
• Basic familiarity with Windows software
• Must be able to work outdoors in cold conditions
• Ability to perform physical tasks including moderate lifting and climbing

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Direct experience with FSU threat radar systems desired
• Ability to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand system level operation and diagnosis for repair, maintenance, and sustainment
• Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles in restoring equipment operations
• Apply logical thinking to define problems and draw valid conclusions
• Operate, maintain, repair, and install various radar-related electronic equipment
• Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems
• Work with supervisor or higher-level technicians for guidance
