  • Carrying out construction and wall framing tasks for diverse thematic elements and consumer event setups, ensuring a secure environment for guests and ambassadors
  • Choosing appropriate materials for projects
  • Demonstrating consistent performance in terms of punctuality, willingness to take on tasks, and strict compliance with all safety policies and regulations
  • Instructing fellow ambassadors on the safe use of tools in the carpentry shop, following company standards
  • Aiding in the creation, installation/removal, and upkeep/repair of park scenery, props, and decorative items
  • Supporting the material inventory and procurement procedures
  • Keeping work areas and vehicles clean
  • Completing other assigned duties

Qualifications for Success:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the carpentry industry or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in wall framing
  • Proficiency in wall framing, cabinet construction, concrete work, theatrical flat construction, or equivalent activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Basic mathematical proficiency
  • Aptitude for using and being trained on protective gear
  • Capability to work from blueprints or detailed sketches
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining power tools and hand tools as well as other equipment in optimum, safe condition, such as: table saw, miter saw, band saw, and related blades
  • Able to climb ladders and work at heights from 6 to 65 feet
  • Capable of standing, bending, or kneeling for extended periods
  • Flexible enough to reach, twist, and turn fully
  • Physically able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts or hours based on park schedules and requirements; (e.g. available for morning and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays)

Other Considerations:

  • Hold a valid state driver's license
  • Able to operate a forklift or high-reach equipment
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various conditions including dark/nighttime, water environments, and different weather conditions
  • Capable of working in environments with fumes, dust, or odor
  • Comfortable working around animals
  • Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
