Job Summary:

In this exciting role of Software Development Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Airport IT Unit and the global engineering community. Your main focus will be collaborating on defining the software development strategy, technological framework, and functional approach within an Agile Environment.

Location: Orlando, Florida

Job Type: Contract

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: 8am to 5pm

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities:

  • Translate design and wireframes into actual code for applications
  • Utilize technical knowledge to contribute to area decisions and propose improvements
  • Collaborate with designers to implement technical solutions
  • Work on product implementation across different countries

Relevant Experience:

  • Holds a university degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Over 6 years of experience in software engineering
  • Proficient in various programming languages and technologies such as OOP, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Java, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is a plus

Requirements Analysis and Refinement:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to breakdown business requirements
  • Provide estimates and technical dependencies for software development tasks

Software Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines
  • Ensure code aligns with company standards

Testing and Maintenance:

  • Conduct tests to ensure software quality
  • Assist in release management activities

Technical Improvement:

  • Continuously update software to meet technical standards and best practices
  • Optimize resource utilization and enhance performance

Technical Leadership:

  • Collaborate with development and QA teams
  • Mentor junior team members

Documentation:

  • Produce necessary software documentation
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and Java

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (master's preferred)

Skills:

  • Scrum Master
  • Java
  • Software engineering (6 years of experience required)
