LONG TERM CARE RN Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements) Shift: 3x12 Night (7pm-7:30am) Ratios: 8:1 days; 13:1 nights Years of Experience REQ: 2 years of Nursing home/LTC or Home Health preferred. Travel experience is preferred. Epic REQ? 1 year of Epic experience is preferred. First-Timers Accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: TBD Certs REQ: BLS Skills REQ: IV Insertion, PICC Lines Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Rarely Open to accommodating block schedule? TBD Locals Accepted: No Pending License Accepted: Yes RTO Restrictions: We do not have any specific requirements around Holidays, however if the traveler is here for more than one recognized holiday we would ask them to work one of the holidays. Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fx, Parkinsons, BKA, PNA, COPD, BKA, Hunntington's dx Common Equipment: Hoyer lift, SARA lift, tube feeding pump, IV pump Additional Details: This is an LTC unit; however, since it is the only LTC/Nursing Home in the PeaceHealth system, it functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg. We do not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc. We use a Pyxis medication system to load our Work Stations on Wheels. We DO NOT USE MedPacks which is what a lot of the LTC's down south utilize, our Medpass process is a hybrid between a LTC /MedSurg process. Epic was designed as an acute care EMR and has been modified to accommodate LTC; however, the modifications make the charting labor-intensive. FACILITY INFORMATION Type of Facility: Critical Access Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma (if applicable): Nonprofit, Level IV Trauma Center Total Staffed Beds: 54 Scrub Color: Provided for LTC Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Free
