What your day looks like:

  • You assume responsibility for machine support to ensure Rapid Plasma Deposition (RPD) machines are running within specifications and process control tolerances
  • Perform top-level troubleshooting and root cause/corrective action for Plattsburgh based machines
  • Benchmark and understand process and process parameters to understand what is required from a machine control and data collection standpoint to ensure product specifications are met
  • Assist in the implementation and use of the equipment database and spares list for Plattsburgh
  • Maintain observations log and interface with stakeholders for disposition and implementation of corrective actions
  • Observe and document process knowledge into released specifications, Interface Control Documents, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and training material
  • Assists engineering team in roll-out projects of RPD machines, including executing acceptance testing and commissioning
  • Assists engineering team to achieve successful completion of Acceptance Test Plans, Machine Qualification, and machine maintenance
  • Proactively identifies areas of machine improvement to increase profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, and coordinate design changes through stakeholders
  • Participates in Engineering Change Requests through NTi Configuration Control Board for Plattsburgh equipment and implementation of approved Engineering Change Orders to maintain common machine configuration across sites

Were Thrilled to find Candidates with:

  • A BS or MS in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation/Controls Engineering
  • Background within a manufacturing function that mirrors the aforementioned areas
  • Experience with industrial controls and networking
  • 3-5 years preferred Mechatronics Engineering or related experience (i.e., Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering (machine-focused), etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of integrated electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work within a high synergy environment with strong team dynamics
  • Ability to lead and oversee projects and team members Analytic and with ability to handle complex customer approval requirements
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Creative with ability to improve product development and production methods
  • Ability to provide consistent work products and complete projects on time
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to corporate site in Norway for training and globally in support of customer as necessary; as such, a valid U.S. Passport and the ability to travel between the U.S., Europe, and Canada is a requirement of the position
  • Willingness to adhere to and promote the NTi values of gld, collaboration, creative curiosity, trust, respect, and integrity
