Pay Rate: $40 to $41.74/HR

Duration: 8 months

Location: Draper, UT

Our Client is a Global medical device Manufacturer.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner/Buyer. This role will be overseeing new product releases from R&D into commercial manufacturing. It will be in a global ecosystem, working with sister companies and plants on a daily basis. One must have strong planning experience in a medical device setting.

Develop the Manufacturing Production Plan from the Master Production Schedule and or Project Team (R&D/Clinical) requirements with increased complexity and volume and with a higher level of autonomy.

  • Manage issues preventing the execution of the MPS and production plan.
  • Issues include but are not limited to nonconforming materials or processes, material or equipment availability, completing unplanned requirements from R&D
  • Analyze resource availability, develop short and mid-range capacity plans with manufacturing teams, and lead teams to ensure plans are met
  • Generate work orders using the Manufacturing Enterprise system
  • Manage work order progress, including working with production and other supporting departments (e.g., quality, microbiology, engineering) to ensure production plans are met

Must Haves:

-Well-versed in supply chain planning within a medical device setting.

-Proven communicator and team player.

-Proficient in Excel.

Skills:

  • Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience ERP (e.g JDE) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and relationship management skills with the ability to drive the achievement of objectives
  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Full knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management programs (e.g, JIT/Kanban, Min/Max)
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams, key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects, and vendors/suppliers
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations

Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field
  • 2-4 years of related experience required.
