Sr Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Description:

The Role:

Our site in Colorado Springs is seeking a Sr Machinist in the Extreme Ultraviolet(EUV) production department. The EUV department produces EUV pods that are utilized by our customers during their manufacturing processes. In this role, you will both set up and operate CNC machines and actively troubleshoot any technical challenges that may arise during production. This position is on 2nd Shift (M -F 3pm - 11:30pm).

What You'll Do:

• Set ups and operates Makino CNC machinery to produce EUV pods components, in accordance with specifications.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, diagnose and correct production issues as they arise throughout the manufacturing process.
• Escalates quality issues as appropriate.
• Performs CNC machine preventative maintenance tasks, tool replacements, and housekeeping duties as needed.
• Assist Process Engineer to improve cycles and processes and data collection.
• Reports faults and breakdowns to supervisors and production engineers.
• Verifies product visually and takes corrective action when necessary. Ensures product is consistent with established specifications by utilizing Coordinate-measuring Machines (CMMs) and Camline software.
• Ensures the highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policy, ISO and/or other standards.
• Assists manufacturing technicians by providing guidance in machine operation and by troubleshooting issues that arise during production.
• Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughly and timely.
• Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality. Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities. Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures. Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.

What We Seek:

• Vocational or technical training in machining or two (2) years of equivalent experience.
• Minimum five (5) years CNC Machining and Programming.
• Excellent analytical, observational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding G code.
• Knowledgeable in SAP, Microsoft Office, MasterCam, Solid Works and Blueprint reading.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting skills.
• Extensive knowledge about powered hand tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team setting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance. Ability to understand documented processes and procedures.
  

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• This role involves frequent pinching and grasping of hand/power tools.
• Work is performed in an environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn at all times while on duty. This includes safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.
