  • Standard duties will be performed from an assigned office on a regular Battalion Chief MOU approved shift.
  • This includes frequent multi-day travel assignments across the state or nationally and occasional remote assignments lasting up to two weeks.
  • Shift schedules and assignments may be adjusted as needed.
  • Maintenance of ICS aviation qualifications is necessary.
  • Frequent short-term travel for meetings and emergency incident activity may also be required.
  • This position offers a hybrid telework option in line with CAL FIRE's policy.
  • The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
Special Requirements
  • The position requires a valid California Driver's License (CDL).
  • Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) Clearance is necessary before hiring.
  • The incumbent may need to wear respiratory protection equipment, including SCBA.
  • Field work may involve physically demanding tasks in emergency situations.
