Job Summary

The Warehouse Order Builder plays a crucial role in assembling customer orders to ensure accurate and prompt shipment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Follows pick tickets to prepare orders correctly for loading onto delivery trucks.
  • Ensures the accuracy and quality of product orders, securing them for safe transport to Heartland customers.
  • Operates powered industrial equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Uses voice picking software to maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy.
  • Adheres to warehouse safety standards and good manufacturing practices.
  • Achieves daily productivity goals and stages completed pallets in designated areas.
Physical Requirements
  • Speaking: Constantly required for communication tasks.
  • Acute Vision: Constant attention to observing and reading documents.
  • Mobility: Frequent movement within the warehouse premises.
  • Bending/Squatting: Constant actions for handling and moving products.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product).
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience required.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with pallet jack or forklift operations is a plus; ability to obtain PIT certification upon hire.
