Sr. Social Worker

Position Overview:
As a Senior Social Worker at The Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center (KCPC), you will play a key role in conducting forensic competency evaluations and providing inpatient treatment for individuals adjudicated incompetent to stand trial. Your responsibilities will also include delivering various clinical services, therapeutic techniques, and psycho-educational programs, while contributing to program development and implementation efforts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implementing individual and family therapy techniques utilizing Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Problem-Solving Therapy.
- Leading psycho-educational groups covering topics such as substance use support, legal education, coping skills, and conflict resolution.
- Documenting services including assessments, progress notes, and court reports.
- Creating treatment plans based on client advancement and collaborating with external partners.
- Participating in meetings and workshops to offer insights on program enhancement.
- Handling patient correspondence, conducting case reviews, and assessing care requirements.
- Supporting program coordination and growth initiatives as necessary.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work with relevant certifications.
- Adherence to state regulations concerning clinical practices.
Qualifications:
- Two to four years of post-master's degree social work experience.
- Proficiency in mental and physical assessments, psychotherapy, human behavior, and community services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with potential for leadership positions.
- Demonstrated capacity to address diverse client needs and disabilities.
Physical Demands:
- Exposure to occasional challenging situations.
- Availability for on-call duties and travel between locations as needed.
