Air Export Agent

Location: Uniondale, NY
Salary: $65,000 to $70,000 (depending on experience)
Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Company Benefits: Excellent

The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of recent experience in a freight forwarding organization for this role. Our client, a Global Freight Forwarder, is seeking an Air Export Agent to join their team.


Job Summary:

The Air Export Agent will ensure the smooth movement of shipments and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include processing export shipments, coordinating with customer service, and providing updates to clients. Accuracy and efficiency in forwarding systems are essential for high productivity.


About the Position:
  • Preparation of airway bills meeting deadlines
  • Quoting client requests promptly
  • Handling priority shipments correctly
  • Preparing export documents and filing AES
  • Coordinating with warehouse and gateways
  • Communicating with destination offices
  • Assisting in daily export operations
  • Ensuring timely billing
  • Tracking shipments and updating clients
  • Other duties assigned by management
  • Creating reports for monitoring key accounts
Additional skills:
  • Knowledge of Cargowise
  • IATA certification
  • Hazmat training
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude
Education & Experience:
  • Associate's degree or relevant experience
  • Experience in air export/international
