FUNCTION:


Reporting to the ADRC Manager, the ADRC Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation and performance of a team of options counselors in providing services to the Aged and Disabled community.

The ADRC Supervisor coordinates and manages direct staff, options activities, provides technical support, ongoing development and maintenance of ADRC programs and carries out all such activities as may be appropriate to meet the goals of this position.

The ADRC Supervisor is expected to be an active participant in the agency's mission, vision, and values.

He/she shall work to ensure consistent, quality services to the agency's constituents, demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility in assignments and maintain positive working relationships with all agency personnel.


MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Completes and is responsible for the daytoday activities of case management/Options program, program reports, other program requests, routine correspondence, office forms and other documents by designated timeframes.
  • Provides daily supervision and performance evaluation of direct employees.
  • Is an active participant in the Leadership Team and Quality Circle.
  • Performs quality review of case management work to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelines related to assistance programs and ensures that timelines and reporting deadlines are met to avoid federal funding and fiscal sanctions.
  • Gather statistical information as directed/requested and participates in internal and external audits; assists with the development and implementation of corrective action plans. Prepares and/or directs the preparation of records and reports and ensures the staff members enter and update information into the State mandated software program.
  • Reviews, develops, or modifies work plans, methods, and procedures, determines work priorities, and develops work schedules to provide adequate staff coverage. Provides work instruction and assists employees with difficult and/or unusual assignments and encourages innovation. Assigns and distributes work, reviews for accuracy and completeness, and returns assignments with recommendations for proper completion.
  • Maintains and promotes relationships with the Division of Aging (DA) with participation in required meetings/trainings and provides requested information for State and Federal inquiries to the Division of Aging (DA) by designated time frames.
  • Attends and represents the Organization at trainings, networking activities, and meetings with other agencies as requested.
  • Resolves problems and mediates conflicts encountered during daily operations, determines appropriate solutions, and promotes teamwork. Encourages regular communication and informs staff of relevant business issues and their impact on the organization.
  • Creates and maintains enhanced and progressive communication, within the team and with the team and agency, ensuring both the agency values, priorities, and projects are shared with assigned staff and that staff concerns are communicated to manager(s) and senior management.
  • Develops the performance enhancement plan, documents performance, provide performance feedback, evaluates the work of employees, and provides reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance. Develops and implements training and development plans and opportunities.
  • Documents causes for disciplinary action and makes formal recommendations for disciplinary action.
  • May manage a direct case load and/or assist in case management activities as needed.
  • Maintains confidentially and accuracy of programmatic customer files and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participates in regular staff meetings, training opportunities, supervisory sessions, and accepts responsibility for assisting in the development of positive team relationships.
  • Cooperates and coordinates with other ADRC program and organization staff to provide training to community partners and other ADRC staff as required.
  • Coordinates with other ADRC staff and organization staff to meet case management/options objectives and the objectives of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by the ADRC Manager
  • Completes Pre-Admission Screening processing as needed

MINIMIM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or Gerontology
  • At least two years of experience in human service setting utilizing care plans and service delivery
