Controller at healthcare services organization, hybrid opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, The Controller will support the accounting and financial operations of the company with a focus on revenue accounting, general ledger accounting, A/R functions, and taxes.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements for management review, which will be submitted to the board, bank, and other stakeholders. This includes income statements, cash flows, balance sheets, and supporting reports.
  • Manage all general ledger accounting, which includes reviewing subordinate's journal entries and supporting workbooks.
  • Analyze data and post journal entries with reconciliation to supporting schedules.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare financial reports.
  • Liaison with the external audit firm, including preparation of schedules and analysis to support the successful completion of the annual audit.
  • Coordinate federal and state income taxes with an outside CPA firm.
  • Assist with filing local income, property, and sales taxes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • 7-15 years of accounting experience.
  • Public Accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Sage Intacct is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, and peers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a strategic team member.
