JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for reviewing customer purchase order requirements, comparing them to the D&G engineering process, drawings, and vendor purchase orders, and verifying that all the requirements of the customer drawings and purchase order are met. The Quality Assurance Analyst provides documentation to support each review at customer and quality management system audits. The Quality Assurance Analyst is also responsible for generating and populating AS9102 inspection forms, populating data in net-inspect and maintaining files in UniPoint.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Reviews, compares, and verifies that the D&G engineering process, shop drawings and vendor purchase orders, meet the requirements of the customer purchase order and customer supplied drawings.
  • Reviews and verifies that the vendor purchase order meets the requirements of the customer supplied drawing and customer purchase order flow down requirements.
  • Provides documentation support of each review, showing that the project was reviewed and filed for quality audits.
  • Analyzes process and/or drawing changes for completeness and verifies that the changes align with change request(s).
  • Ensures correct and timely implementation of process review requests.
  • Verifies own work, checks format and compliance with document templates generated and maintained by the Quality Assurance Analyst and approved by the Quality Manager.
  • Demonstrates and maintains excellent and consistent attention to detail.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of company quality assurance standards, internal policies, processes, and procedures and external regulations.
  • Supports the Document Control Specialist as needed.
  • Maintains communication with the Quality Manager to discuss any issues, needs or ideas for improvement.

Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 – 2 years of related experience or the ability to learn highly preferred.
  • Experience working with or ability to learn AS9102 First Article Inspection Report Forms and requirements.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn administrative/clerical procedures and systems, with the ability to manage files/records. (e.g. Microsoft Office, JobBoss and UniPoint)
  • Must be a quick learner and have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problem solving.
  • Must be proficient in ERP systems or have the ability to learn. Experience with JobBoss and/or UniPoint are a plus.
  • Must pass a post-employment offer drug screen and background check.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in the manufacturing office environment at the Main Plant located in Westbrook, Maine. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary at a desk, work on a computer with frequent interruptions; handle or feel small components. The employee frequently positions self to reach for objects, maintain and operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of computer keyboard, move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and to communicate to exchange information. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
