Retail Store Manager

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years in retail management with proven success in a high volume environment.

This is not an admin role, you will be on the sales floor doing all of the day to day operations alongside your staff.

For success in this role as our retail store manager, you'll need excellent communication and people skills, Your role is to run a store successfully during the year while being able to pivot for the store during peak seasons/times.

Working on the shop floor, you are in constant contact with your customers and staff. You will ensure your staff provides great customer service at all times. You are responsible for the day-to-day, long-term operations and financial success of the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing a hands on approach to support your staff and customers
  • Ensure customers are warmly welcomed
  • Using good judgment to adapt to the needs of each customer in handling unusual requests or difficult customer interactions
  • Managing and promoting product movement through merchandising, ordering, inventory and receiving
  • Creating an environment in which consumers are eager and excited to spend time browsing the shelves
  • Supporting your team and taking pride in maintaining a pleasant environment
  • Communicating effectively with staff, management, and customers
  • Hiring and training the right people in order to meet store goals
  • Planning, implementing, and overseeing all daily operations
  • Opening and closing the store

Skills:

  • Effective motivational, communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

  • At least 5 yrs retail store manager experience
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, weekend availability is required
  • Outstanding customer service skills, a good work ethic, reliable, and a sense of integrity
  • Ability to lift max 40lbs, stand/walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders, bend and crouch to access access merchandise in cases
  • Computer skills

From $30.00 per hour
