This role is part of the Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security within the Department of Energy. Join as a Security Specialist overseeing the DOE Headquarters Classified Matter Protection and Control (CMPC) Program. Take the lead on developing, refining, and implementing plans, orders, specifications, and procedural guidance for Headquarters Classified Matter Protection and Control matters.

Responsibilities
As a Security Specialist, you will:
- Manage Classified Matter Protection and Control (CMPC) training and development.
- Oversee all aspects of the classified matter protection and control program.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to members of Congress, White House, and other Federal Government Agencies' Executive Office personnel.
- Act as a subject matter expert for classified matter protection and control.
- Assess the implementation of Headquarters policy, standards, and procedural guidance.
- Execute orders, guidelines, and procedures on incidents related to classified matter, security law breaches, unauthorized disclosure of classified information, and protection of controlled unclassified information.
Conditions of Employment

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's application and resume must show specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 level. Specialized experience includes tasks like handling classified matter protection and control training, oversight of protection programs, and conducting briefings on the topic.
Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date.
CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered well qualified, meeting requirements and achieving a score of 85 or better is necessary.
