AR Specialist

Messina is assisting our client, a rapidly growing specialized healthcare services organization headquartered in Louisville, with their search for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist.

• Works closely with the Biologic Team Lead to help streamline the biologic process, billing, and collection
• Communicates with providers, nurses, managers, and patients to track Billing for the biologics process
• Communicates on the telephone professionally and pleasantly. Efficiently screens and directs calls and make appointments as necessary for the biologics process, if required
• Runs reports to track biologics Billing and maintains integrity of patient billing records
• Collecting all necessary documentation to complete timely and accurate submission of prior authorizations for biologics, as necessary
• Interacts with clients, insurance companies, sales representatives, providers, and patients, as necessary
• Follow HIPAA policies, billing and follow up procedures

• High School Diploma
• MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF RECENT AR EXPERIENCE IN A HEALTHCARE SETTING
• Proficient with Microsoft applications
• EMR EXPERIENCE 2 YEARS
• Proficient in denial management
• EXPERIENCE WORKING COMMERCIAL, MEDICARE AND MEDICAID PLANS.
• Experience working in fast- paced, high volume, multi-provider practice.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
