ROLE OVERVIEW:
  • The Registered Nurse Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an essential part of the Clinical Advancement Program at our company.
  • Responsible for providing competent care to a group of patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Tasks may include delegating appropriate responsibilities to other healthcare staff members.
  • Participates in decision-making processes, leadership roles, and quality improvement activities within the healthcare team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts patient data collection and analysis during hemodialysis treatment, making necessary adjustments.
  • Assesses and addresses patient and family educational needs.
  • Oversees the safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy to patients.
  • Administers medications and handles emergency response measures.
  • Acts as a resource for the healthcare team, participates in training, and ensures proper laboratory procedures.
  • Collaborates with the Interdisciplinary Team to update patient care plans.
  • Provides information to patients about treatment options and transplants.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current state licensure and CPR BLS Certification.
  • Entry-level position with less than 1 year of Nephrology Nursing experience in the last two years.
