DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
To join Colorado Mesa University (CMU) as a full-time custodian, you must be a Colorado resident. The position is based in Grand Junction and may require relocation for out-of-town applicants. At CMU, custodians play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness of facilities, creating a conducive learning and working environment at the university. DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
  • Provide custodial services for campus facilities to maintain a healthy environment.
  • Tasks involve floor-care such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and various floor treatments.
  • Perform cleaning duties including sanitation of restrooms, waste disposal, and maintaining equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Qualifications: Six months of custodial experience in a business/corporate setting. Part-time work will be prorated. Must provide three professional references.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong customer service skills, time-management abilities, and the aptitude to follow instructions.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Successful candidates must pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screening, meeting physical requirements for the role.
