As Director of Housekeeping, you will oversee the day-to-day and long-term operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, and on-site laundry facilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily housekeeping operations and scheduling, including oversight of onsite laundry facility.
  • Provide training to ensure compliance with hotel standards, along with necessary tools for staff to perform their duties effectively.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and feedback to enhance employee performance and resolve conflicts.
  • Assign tasks to housekeepers and laundry attendants, overseeing the cleaning of all guest areas.
  • Implement and maintain cleaning programs and track inventory for necessary supplies.
  • Conduct regular department meetings and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Assist in addressing guest complaints and monitor monthly budget.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, with supervision experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with housekeeping and laundry operations, as well as cleaning chemical handling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and potentially other languages.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively.
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills for data input.
