Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join our growing healthcare team. Candidates should have at least two years of experience. Responsibilities include:
  • Collect and tag specimens exactly as outlined in each medical requisition
  • Develop effective collection techniques as they relate to groups such as geriatric patients
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area based on state health laws and the guidelines of our medical organization
  • Answer patient questions regarding collection techniques and offer additional resources on the collection process if a patient requests them
  • Be proficient with basic computer skills
  • Adept at venipuncture, phlebotomy, and finger sticks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Interpersonal skills and compassion
  • Analyzing information, critical thinking, and problem solving
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • Procedural and organizational skills
  • Quality focus
  • Basic computer skills
