About the team

The Midwest Regional Team at College Board is a dynamic, high-energyteam focused on expanding opportunities for students by partnering witheducators in state departments of education, school districts, schools,and educational organizations to expand opportunities for students toown their futures.

We sit within State & District Partnerships (SDP)(100+ staff), a highly engaged group that works to provide opportunitiesto students through promoting the use of College Board programs andservices (SAT, PSAT, & AP) and BigFuture.

About the opportunity
As the Regional Vice President (RVP), you are directly responsible forthe vision and direction of the region.

You will provide the leadershipof the region and its staff with a special focus on regional and stateinitiatives that enhance the visibility of the College Board.

Thisincludes setting the vision, developing strategy and serving as thesales leader for your region.

In addition, you will lead and oversee themembership and governance of the region; and collaborate with CollegeBoard staff working in the region.

All these responsibilities mustcontribute to the College Board\'s mission of preparing, inspiring, andconnecting students to college, career, and opportunity - committed toexcellence and equity.

In this role, you will:
Provide Strategic Leadership (35%)
Provide overall leadership and management of regional staff and planand direct other regional functions which include particularattention to the College Board\'s priority goals; preparingquarterly, monthly, and annual reports; establishing local policiesand procedures; collaborating with the Business Planning andOperations sub-team on SDP,

Facilitate the delivery of programs in respective fields (K-12 orhigher education), working in close collaboration with the VicePresidents within the State & District Partnerships division otherVice Presidents, and with regional and program staff.

Implement strategic sales plans to further organizational goals andplay roles in reviewing market analyses and determining customerneeds.

Plan and direct regional associational/governance relations andaffairs, including planning and directing meetings and activities ofthe regional council or governance structure.

Serve as a liaisonbetween the regional membership and the national office.

Initiate and/or support special programs, meetings and institutesdesigned to enhance the College Board\'s presence and responsivenessto its members and clients in the region; establish and maintainpositive partnerships and/or collaborations that will advance andpromote the use and acceptance of various College Board programs,services and initiatives; and develop and implement processes thatwill create, as well as maintain, a positive image for the CollegeBoard.

Team Management & Coaching (45%)
Lead a strong, healthy, and performance-driven culture for all staffmembers, where ambitious annual goals are monitored regularly andet annually.
Provide the leadership necessary to deliver results across variousroles including customer service; professional development;associational relations; and new technologies.

Lead the regionalstaff in the delivery of sales and product placement results throughmultiple approaches to an increasingly diverse student market acrossall educational markets by working collaboratively with unitsthroughout the College Board as well as with staff of the Board\'smembers, partners and those organizations supplying services to theCollege Board.

Manage and coordinate multiple staff across the region with varyingreporting lines to effectively serve our members and constituentswhile also building pipelines to maintain and grow access to ourprograms and services.

Provide ongoing mentoring and development of the sales/service teamwhich includes recruiting, hiring and training new team members onthe sales cycle.

Provide timely, accurate and objective feedback and serve as a rolemodel for continuous improvement and service commitment, whileattracting, developing and retaining talent.

Stakeholder Management (20%)
