Why you should join our team as a Project Expeditor:

The primary role of the Project Expeditor is to communicate with all the various parties of a project and facilitate the timely actions and tasks needed for New Product Introduction (NPI) and derivatives of current products. This position requires strong knowledge of the Products, Processes and PLM system.

This position is based in our St. George, UT production facility and reports to the Sr. Software Engineering and Program Manager. After initial training, you will be eligible to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days from home per week as approved by the manager and during times that do not conflict with production schedules.

This position has a competitive salary between $50,000 and $60,000/year depending upon experience, plus the opportunity to receive an additional company profit-sharing bonus every 6 months. Areas of responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates Part Numbering for NPI and maintains Part Numbers for existing products
  • Supports making Bill Of Material (BOM) changes as needed
  • Supports Cut-in/Cut-out changes
  • Coordinates changes to Packaging for NPI and supports changes to existing packaging
  • Coordinates Marketing Materials for in-box inclusion
  • Coordinates creation of Install Guides for NPI and supports changes to Install Guides for existing products
  • Coordinates First Article Approval Process
  • Assist with Engineering Inventory Management of NPI components
  • Communicates and works with multi-functional groups within the company in support of NPI processes (such as Prototype Builds, Pilot Builds, etc.)
  • Manages simple revisions to products such as kitting changes, small accessories, etc

This job is a great fit if you have the following experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) training or certification
  • Prior experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, such as Oracle Agile or PDXpert
  • Prior experience working directly with a technical team (e.g., Engineering)
  • Experience with electronic document control systems
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Higher education degree is preferred but we are willing to consider applicants without it

The ideal candidate will also have these skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong inter-departmental relationships
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments independently to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good understanding of the Product Development Processes
  • Ability to effectively coordinate certain deliverables associated with new projects such as Production Pilot builds
  • Ability to schedule and lead project meetings for the Project Manager if needed
  • Ability to keep all parts of the project organized and running according to plan
