At CESO, an Electrical Project Engineer - 2 is proficient at performing a standard engineering design technical assignments for small to large projects, completing all tasks on a project on time, on budget, and consistently within industry standards. You will have primary responsibilities that include:

  • Responsible for project and program designs, concepts, and standards under the supervision of the Engineer of Record from concept through completion
  • Perform calculations and design engineering systems in collaboration with internal staff
  • Prepare advanced system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and schedules
  • Review shop drawings and equipment submittals for conformance to plan documents and project specifications
  • Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and designs for projects as directed
  • Apply local, state, and federal regulations
  • Adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into the project designs
  • Visit project sites to verify existing conditions and/or observe construction progress
  • Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturer representatives to determine project scope and feasibility
  • Support engineers and project managers in daily planning, coordination, and completion of projects
  • Review work for technical accuracy and completeness prior to QA / QC review
  • Maintains a proficient understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Attend internal and external meetings
  • Other project duties as assigned
Position requirements include:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college and 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineering license (PE) required
  • Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board required
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes, and standards
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Revu, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software as required
