The Opportunity: As an Engagement Organizer you will build local grassroots teams that will then engage in direct voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and retention. You will be responsible for executing a field program that works to elect Democrats up and down the ticket by building and maintaining the local volunteer infrastructure necessary for success in the Spring Elections and beyond.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work to elect all Democrats up and down the ticket.
  • Work to build local grassroots volunteer teams that will then engage in direct and relational voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and retention.
  • Create a strong inclusive progressive presence in communities within your assigned turf including a relentlessly visible campaign both online and throughout social networks.
  • Implement grassroots relational and digital organizing tactics, including managing and executing effective activities, such as friend banks, virtual voter contact events, organizing meetings, community events & phone banks.
  • Identify and engage with existing online communities to recruit volunteers, build relationships, and foster connections with the campaign.
  • Train volunteers to utilize relational and online networks to organize the campaign.
  • Provide content, messaging guidance, and training to volunteers to be effective messengers for the campaign online and strategically engage their networks.
  • Regularly engage with supporters and volunteers in their respective digital communities to cultivate a culture of ongoing engagement online and best practice sharing.
  • Track, follow up, and coach volunteers who engage online & relationally to collect feedback on interactions, comments, and conversations.
  • Meet or exceed metrics-based goals for volunteer recruitment & retention as well as direct voter contact.
  • Help to build the local volunteer infrastructure necessary for success in the November Elections and beyond.
  • Responsible for executing the 2024 statewide organizing and outreach programs across Wisconsin.
  • Be a representative of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and our policies, including neutrality as directed.
  • On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.

  • Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills - Able to connect with others, motivate and quickly gain trust with volunteers, staff, community members, and coalition partners, and ability to be particular across lines of difference.
  • Applicants should have access to reliable transportation, and be willing to travel frequently.
