Salary: $50, ,577 per year, depending on experience. Plus, excellent fringe benefits.

Summary of Function: This position is responsible for finding andapplying for grants that can assist the College financially and in support ofthe mission. The grant writer must be able to identify potential sources andwrite compelling applications that will get approval.

Typical Duties:
  • Serves students. Support the planning, developing, budgeting, editing, and proofreading of college-wide and service-area grant proposals, grant reports, and other documents. Produce documents to support the work of College groups and individuals that are pursuing grants. Serve as a grant writer for the district, individually and as leader of proposal development teams in the CTE and Workforce areas.
  • Manage College grant processes to ensure cross-departmental communication and coordination of efforts for grants acquisition. Provide coordination and technical support for all grants. Provide technical advice, problem-solving assistance, and answers to questions regarding grant program goals, evaluation design, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct research on third-party verifiable data and evidence-based best practices that support a diverse array of grant proposals. Align terminology and methodology of effective practices to develop programs and facilitate grant activities that enhance the collegiate environment, promote access to College programs and services, and support student success and lifelong learning.
  • Assist the CEO Vice President of Workforce & Healthcare, and Chief of Staff for the Entrepreneurial College in preparing and monitoring College grant funding goals. Develop objectives and activities based on College grant funding goals. Maintain grants department web page and document storage site, prepare monthly performance reports, and provide administrative support for the grant office.
  • Work with the CEO & Vice President of Workforce & Healthcare, and Chief of Staff for the Entrepreneurial College to research and identify federal, state, local, and private grants that most closely match College grant funding goals and develop grants in partnership with proposal development teams. Provide timely advice and information on funding opportunities, requirements, and procedures.
  • Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree and a minimum of two years' experience in grant writing and/or grant support or an equivalency of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated successful grant writing record and working knowledge of budget development.

  • Bachelor's degree

Position Type & Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, 12 months
  • Monday-Thursday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
  • May include Fridays or weekends when needed

Work Environment:
  • Indoor office environment, normalnoise levels, good lighting

  • Work is performed in an open officeenvironment with staff contact and frequent interruptions
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a deskand working on a computer
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • May lift, carry, push, and/or pulllight to moderate (up to 20 pounds) amounts of weight
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel,crouch, reach, and twist
Travel:
  • May be required to travel to other locations using various modes of private, commercial, or fleet transportation
