In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating and prioritizing ultrasound exams, working closely with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians. You'll perform ultrasound exams following departmental protocols and standards, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

  • Examines requests and verifies orders for each patient.
  • Assists Radiologists during invasive procedures.
  • Evaluates exam quality and implements advanced techniques for departmental efficiency.
  • Supports the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by prioritizing patient needs.
  • Reports equipment issues promptly.
  • Operates Radiology computer systems efficiently.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Adheres to departmental regulations and acts professionally at all times.

Physical Requirements:

Requires moderate to heavy lifting, walking, standing, and motor coordination. Must have intact hearing and vision.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) with a Vascular specialty is necessary.

Additional specialty examinations required: AB (Abdomen), BR (Breast), OB/GYN (Obstetrics and Gynecology), PS (Pediatric), or MSKS (Musculoskeletal). 1 year of experience is needed. Graduation from a medical diagnostic ultrasound program is preferred. BLS HCP certification from AHA is mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
