Position Summary

Standard Operations Position. Support Supervisors and/or Work Coordinators with work management and reconciliation activities, including work order creation and closeout. Utilize corporate and organizational procedures and regulatory compliance requirements to ensure consistency in application. Responsible for support in the field operations of the business unit, service center, plant or service territory. Ensure a high level of accuracy within all operating systems to support data integrity and process adherence. Provide backup administrative support functions as required.

Essential Responsibilities

Field Work Support: Support Work Coordinators and/or Supervisors in generating work orders and completing job closeout within various systems. Analyze exception reports to verify labor and equipment charged to each work, job, trouble and miscellaneous order.

Operations Support: Perform support functions such as requesting locates and materials, coordinating other utilities or equipment associated with the operation of the business unit, service center, plant or service territory. Must have a good understanding of the regular work functions of the area including work order management, payroll, invoicing, materials, compliance, safety, etc. Provide backup to Operations Supervisor, Work Coordinator, and/or other Associate positions.

Data Integrity and Maintenance: Maintain data integrity within the various systems used to manage daily work execution, KPI tracking, asset management and scheduling activities. Validate completed work packets for discrepancies in labor, material and transportation charges while comparing as-builts to match the work completed. Produce operational reports as needed.

Customer Service Support: Provide customer service support. Interact with internal corporate customers, external corporate engineering suppliers and other personnel as needed. Respond to all inquiries on a timely basis. Ensure user needs are met.

Safety Support: Coordinate safety training events, meetings, and celebrations, and track completion. Ensure safety verifications on equipment are complete.

Emergency Assistance: Provide assistance during emergency operations.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or GED.

3 - 5 years related experience in the utility or construction industries.

Requires a broad knowledge of department operations and policies.

Demonstrated general knowledge of managing work activities in a manner that meets customer and/or internal stakeholder requirements.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.

Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of computer software applications which include Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling tools.
