Purpose of Announcement

An exam is announced to create a list of candidates to fill current vacancies in the Department of Jefferson Community Action Programs and the Department of Drainage, as well as for future openings. This list may also be utilized for upcoming opportunities in both East & West Jefferson in different Departments.

Kind of Work

Engaging in routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, waxing, moving furniture, and more in and around buildings. Some roles might involve driving a Parish vehicle, so having a valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications For Examination

Applicants must be in good health to perform duties efficiently, have acceptable personal backgrounds, and the ability to follow instructions, both written and oral. Additionally, being able to handle heavy manual work is required.

Kind of Examination

Non-Competitive: All qualified candidates will be granted an Authorization for Interview letter for Custodian positions. Parish departments can hire candidates conditionally after interviews, pending necessary record checks.
