Overview:

Nakupuna Foundation is looking to hire an Analyst Intern to support the Nakupuna Companies as an Analyst Intern to support the DPAA facility support team. The Analyst Intern will work in a small team and with other resources to observe and analyze of electricity consumption and other energy-related data throughout the period of the internship. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and quick learner that has experience supporting high-level officials with attention to execution of field operations with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and compliance with procedures.

This is a paid internship for an individual who is available for approximately 40 hours per week for a term of 12-weeks. Deadline for submission is June 17, 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate systems and user needs
  • Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
  • Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify existing programs
  • Have familiarity with electrical engineering and renewable energy systems and programs
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks across workstreams
  • Utilize a wide degree of creativity and latitude to problem solve
  • Capture stakeholder and SME feedback on Performance Measures and support functional requirement-gathering for data visualizations
  • Work with project coordinators/managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure analysis activities are completed in compliance with instructions provided, in a safe manner, and on time, and meets clients expectations
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualifications:

Skills/Qualifications: Ability to interact professionally with managers, coworkers, government representatives, community members, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors. Capable of supporting production of various reports such as project work plans, health and safety plans, and other data analysis tools and reports.

Military Installation Access and Security Clearance: This position may require access to military installations. Must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass and currently hold or be able to obtain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Certifications: No pre-hire certifications are required.

Education and Experience: The intern must be a recent or current college student, preferably pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, chemistry, software engineering or any related field.

Physical requirements: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to hazards typically encountered at environmental remediation sites.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 (hourly USD). The good faith wage range displayed represents the position at time of posting and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
