Custodian - Part-time

Position Summary:
The Custodian is responsible for keeping the building and grounds clean and safe.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 1pm - 6pm, with some flexibility
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: None required
Essential Duties: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Performs Custodial Duties by performing routine and scheduled cleaning of floors, windows, fixtures, stairs, and doors; use cleaning supplies in a safe manner and follow all warning labels; operate floor scrubber and vacuum cleaners; routine maintenance on pre-determined equipment, replace light bulbs, painting of equipment and facility; removes trash; keeps outside areas clean of trash; part runner for maintenance and production; and safely operating power industrial vehicles
- Demonstrates Math Skills by performing basic mathematical calculations(arithmetic, algebra, geometry)
- Improves Job Knowledge by attending training and keeping relevant knowledge and skills current.
- Demonstrates Interpersonal skills by working independently and with a team; attention to detail; effective time management; ability to meet deadlines; communicating product status.
- Contributes to Organization Success by meeting team and company goals; demonstrating company principles and policies; helping others accomplish job results; following all Quality System and safety protocol; safely operating equipment; wearing proper protective equipment; completing safety training; and contributing to safety goal of zero accidents; keeping work areas clean and organized; meeting attendance guidelines; develops and assists in implementation of ideas for continuous improvement.
- Follows appropriate procedures and company methods
- Participates in after hour support when required
- Identifies business improvement opportunities and provides solution recommendations
- Demonstrates organizational skills by working independently and with a team and by effectively delegating workload and responsibilities
- Follows all quality system and safety protocols by safely operating equipment, wearing proper protective equipment (PPE), completing safety training, keeping work areas clean and organized, and contributing to established safety goals
- Ability to follow work instructions and work independently to achieve results
- Willingness to support team initiatives in order to achieve goals and objectives
- Strong observational skills to help improve safety and hygiene practices
