Service Porter - Dwayne Lane's Arlington Chevrolet

The Service Porter plays a key role in the maintenance and service of vehicles at Dwayne Lane's Arlington Chevrolet. Interacting with various team members and customers on a daily basis, this position involves a range of important tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with service write-ups and tagging of customer vehicles
  • Removing vehicle protective coverings and ID tags before returning them to customers
  • Inspecting vehicles for stains, debris, and damages prior to returning them to customers
  • Transporting customers and dealership personnel as required
  • Performing vehicle deliveries when necessary
  • Cleaning both the interior and exterior of new and used vehicles
  • Keeping the vehicle lot organized and in line with dealership display standards
  • Returning vehicle keys to the appropriate service consultant
  • Picking up and delivering vehicles to storage
  • Fetching parts from the Parts Department
  • Testing batteries of customer vehicles in the service drive
  • Maintaining the building and grounds as needed
  • Assisting with shop clean-up and deliveries as requested

Education and/or Experience

Require a High School Diploma or GED, one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid Driver's License that is insurable and be capable of driving a standard transmission.
