Role Overview
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City is looking for a dedicated individual to join as a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The main responsibility will be to play a crucial role in the Women's Mental Health program. The successful candidate will contribute to the integrated, insurance-based mental health program by providing evidence-based psychotherapies and coordinating care for patients. This is an opportunity to make a difference in the mental well-being of patients while working with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer short-term psychotherapeutic treatments when necessary
- Collaborate with Program Senior Leadership to introduce new initiatives
- Work closely with team members, including medical professionals and trainees
- Participate in psychotherapy supervision and provide guidance to trainees
Qualification Requirements
- Must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology
- Current license in the state of New York
- Preference for bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) with experience in OBGYN/women's health
