Job Title: Entry Level Respiratory Therapist at Mercy Medical Center Redding

Overview

Mercy Medical Center Redding has been delivering comprehensive healthcare services in the North State for over 70 years. The 267-bed facility provides a wide range of medical services, including a Level II Trauma Center, Cardiovascular Care, Stroke Care, Orthopedics, Neurological Surgery, Comprehensive Cancer Care, Maternity Care, and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the primary provider of obstetrical services in Shasta County and the exclusive home to the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the region.

Moreover, Mercy Home Health, Hospice, and Dignity Health Connected Living are part of the hospital's extended network of care. Affiliated with the Dignity Health system, Mercy Medical Center Redding stands alongside St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff and Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The incumbent will serve as an entry-level Respiratory Therapist at Mercy Medical Center Redding, providing respiratory therapies across most hospital departments with minimal to moderate assistance, excluding the NICU.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six months of clinical experience as a student RCP
  • Associates Degree from an accredited program with a current California State provisional license
  • Proficiency in English communication and critical thinking
  • CA BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications
  • RG RRT required within 6 months of employment
  • NPS credentialing within 2 years of hire
  • EEG Competency within 1 year

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of acute care hospital clinical experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (RRT-NPS) certification

Pay Range
$59.29 per hour
