Customer Service Specialist - Retail Stores

This role is vital for the success of our retail locations. Customer Service Specialists collaborate with wholesale and retail clients to identify their needs, address inquiries about Sherwin-Williams merchandise, and propose suitable solutions. The Specialists are responsible for promptly resolving customer issues, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction, staying informed about product features, and upholding product and store visual standards. They are dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service while consistently achieving store sales targets.

#705662 at: 319 South Ave W, Westfield, NJ 07090

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exemplary sales service
  • Assist customers in person and via phone by identifying needs and offering appropriate products and services
  • Develop strong trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers
  • Handle sales transactions accurately and in line with policies and procedures
  • Work towards and achieve sales objectives monthly, quarterly, and yearly
  • Maintain accurate work order records and formulas
  • Select suitable products from sales floor or warehouse
  • Tint and mix products as per customer requirements
  • Arrange shelves and create displays
  • Ensure cleanliness of store equipment
  • Unload/load delivery trucks
  • Assist in deliveries when necessary
  • Keep designated areas in stock and presentable
  • Stay updated on product offerings and discuss available choices
  • Adhere to inventory control procedures
  • Propose strategies to enhance sales performance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country without requiring sponsorship for employment visa now or in the future
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
  • Available to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid Driver's License
  • Hold a High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles
  • Prior experience in paint and paint-related sales
  • Former experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in multiple languages
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish
