Job Description


Infosys is in search of a Lead for Workday Technology with experience in both Technology and Functionality. This role involves creating connections and guiding the entire process. The ideal candidate will lead the integration process, collaborating with Client Business Teams and IT departments to work on integration design, construction, and testing from start to finish. The individual must adhere to deadlines and deliver high-quality results. As a Technology Lead, they will engage with essential stakeholders, leveraging their expertise in Workday HCM throughout various project stages including Requirement Clarification, Design, Building, and Solution Deployment. They will play a crucial role in producing top-level design documents, being a key member of the Digital Technology team involved in HR digital projects, integration Development, and collaboration with HR leadership, Technical Product Managers, corporate and business unit teams, as well as external parties, to coordinate digital solutions within Workday HCM. In addition, they will contribute to testing assistance for Integrations and support tasks connected to Workday Application Maintenance and Support. Primary Requirements:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Information Technology.
  • Must reside near Austin, TX or be open to relocating to this area, as occasional travel within the US may be required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent international certification, with consideration for relevant work experience instead of a degree.
  • Experience of at least 2 years in Execution, Roll Out, Improvement and Support initiatives linked to Workday HCM Applications.
  • Adept in Implementing IT/business Solutions in Workday HCM involving Integrations, Reports, Customization of Business processes utilizing native Workday tools.
  • Skilled in Performance Optimization of reports and Integration codes.
  • Proficient in Detecting Changes effectively.
  • Extensive hands-on familiarity with Workday technologies - Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Advanced Report Writer, Cloud Connect (PICOF, PECI, CCW, CCB), Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, Custom fields, XML/XSLT, Studio, BIRT Reporting & data analytics.
  • Capable of translating business needs into technical solutions.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in managing Data issues, Workday Reporting and Analytics, Security configs and adjustments.
  • Ability to draft technical specifications, set up test scenarios, perform acceptance testing, and implement solutions. Proficient in troubleshooting processes and problems, and driving towards resolutions proactively.
  • Proficiency in crafting intricate Integrations using Workday Studio with SSK.
  • Familiarity with HCM Modules (Core HR, Compensation, Recruitment, Benefits, Payroll, etc.).
  • Thorough knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Recognizing and addressing client requirements, forming strong client relationships, and communicating effectively with clients in an organized and informed manner.
  • Understanding and experience in the complete SDLC and support lifecycle, including testing procedures across all project stages.
  • Proficient in offered HCM procedures and reports, suggesting optimal practices.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory; no sponsorship available at present.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in team participation for expansive and intricate ERP projects.
  • Strong comprehension of integrations and data flows with external systems.
  • Leadership ability and familiarity with Agile techniques preferred (e.g. BDD, TDD).
  • A comprehensive grasp of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), with a focus on transitioning to Agile practices, particularly Agile test management.
  • Understanding of end-to-end functional operations in HR modules such as Core HR, Compensation, Recruitment, Benefits, Payroll, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of testing processes, including practical testing experience across all phases and the utilization of testing tools.
  • Superlative written and verbal communication skills.

This role involves extensive travel and prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Communication must be possible via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
