Central Admissions Director

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee admissions team.
- Supervise inquiry process.
- Handle incoming calls from hospitals, families, etc., and schedule appointments that involve a presentation, tour, and finalization.
- Keep up-to-date information on bed capacity and facility services.
- Conduct sales visits outside the facility to medical, insurance, legal, and financial professionals, senior organizations, relevant interest groups, hospital discharge planners, and other community connections.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and entered into the system.
- Maintain awareness of Federal and state regulations as well as reimbursement policies.
- Assist in expediting admissions for urgent situations.
- Establish and nurture relationships with hospital partners.
- Stay informed about Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
- Cultivate relationships with legal and financial experts, senior organizations, assisted living facilities, relevant interest groups, churches, and other community connections.
- Participate in meetings to inform appropriate team members about anticipated admissions, room changes, discharges, and appointments/tours.
- Communicate specific needs of new admissions to staff members to ensure a seamless transition.
To become part of this team, candidates should have:
- Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar Admissions or Business Development role within the long-term care or related healthcare industry.
- Full COVID vaccination is mandatory.
