Queen's Price Chopper – Seafood/Service Meat Clerk Position


Full-Time or Part-Time


The Seafood/Meat Service clerk's main goal is to provide top-notch customer service, helping customers with seafood/meat choices by cutting, cleaning, and preparing items as per their preferences. The clerk should offer friendly and prompt service, assist with questions and special orders, and maintain a positive work environment focused on customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and drive sales.
  • Greet customers warmly and engage with them as they visit the department.
  • Prepare knife-ready products for sale, following company standards.
  • Assist in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
  • Stock and rotate items in the sales area.
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met in all meat/seafood contact areas.
  • Maintain product quality, freshness, and expiry dates.
  • Communicate customer requests and concerns to management.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Preferably a High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
  • Prior work experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
