Job Details:
We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Permanent Ultrasound Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing patient services using medical ultrasound equipment. The role demands a deep understanding of anatomical positioning and pathology identification to provide accurate diagnostic patient care.

A successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent patient service skills, and a keen desire to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients.


Responsibilities:

  • Performing high-quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner.
  • Adjusting equipment controls according to the patient's needs and to optimize the image quality.
  • Reviewing patient history and supporting clinical data necessary for the Radiologist to perform a proper diagnosis.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Preparing preliminary findings for the physician to aid in patient management.
  • Interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare team members professionally.
  • Maintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the room in which the procedure takes place.
  • Assisting in the management of patient flow to ensure timely care.
  • Participating in Quality Improvement and Safety initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RDMS).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in ultrasound technology.
  • Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and in the performance of ultrasound procedures.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office setting.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to various situations in a calm and effective manner.
  • Must have a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Adherence to all HIPAA regulations and maintenance of patient confidentiality at all times.
