ChristianaCare is looking for an Exercise Technician to join their team at the Wilmington Hospital Out-Patient Services site, working about 30 hours per week.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To provide supportive services in the Physical Therapy Department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with treatment preparation for group or individual sessions involving exercises, ambulation, and more.
- Keep the work area organized and ensure equipment is clean and ready for patient use.
- Manage inventory of patient supplies and assist in ordering medical equipment.
- Help with patient flow and transportation within the department, and occasionally support community outings.
- Demonstrate necessary skills to provide appropriate care to patients of different age groups.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Enrolled in a pre-PT program through an accredited University is preferred
- Previous experience in a Physical Therapy setting is a plus
