Description:

The Effector Digital Products (EDP) department at Raytheon is looking for a skilled FPGA Design Engineer. In this role, you will lead the development of FPGA designs for various vendors and device families like Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi. You will be responsible for creating designs that support gigabit serial interfaces, RF and EO DSP, controls, data links, embedded processing, and processor interfaces. Join us in designing electronics for weapon system products deployed worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead FPGA-based systems architecture and design
  • Establish processes and operational plans
  • Independently drive projects to meet schedules and budgets
  • Design, develop, and verify complex configurable logic solutions
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Translate system-level requirements into FPGA specifications
  • Create comprehensive documentation including requirements and user's guides
  • Support process and technical reviews

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in FPGA design and integration
  • Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in radar and image processing techniques
  • Knowledge of ARM, Microblaze, or Nios processors
  • Expertise in gigabit serial interfaces and multi-gigabit transceivers
