Do you want to be part of our fun and fabulous team where we are passionate about chocolate? We are looking for a full-time chocolatier to help create truffles, caramels, and confections as well as assist our Head Chocolatier, with 10+ years of experience and expertise.

Artisan Confections is a unique and specialized chocolate shop.

In this role, you will be able to learn a variety of chocolate-making skills including enrobing, hand-tempering, decoration techniques, and caramel/candy-making.


  • Assist in making quality truffles, bonbons, and confections
  • Package gift boxes and chocolate confections for retail sales
  • Meet time guidelines while working under pressure *Package web orders for shipping *Greet customers and create a friendly atmosphere while boxing custom assortments* *Use a point of sale cash register *Maintain and enforce a clean work area
  • Handle and move ingredients, tools, pans, etc. as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
*Skills:
- * Experience in professional kitchens preferred

  • Experience with highvolume production is a plus
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 4 hours)
  • Must be physically able to push, pull, carry, and lift 2550lbs
  • Must adhere to food safety laws and standards while preparing products
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently; *Payrate:
  • * $ per hour
  • Employees receive a 50% discount
  • Hiring is contingent upon a successful 90day probationary period *Hours*:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Schedule may include weekends and will vary depending on seasonal calendar; Opportunity for increased hours during prep for Christmas and Valentine's Day

Work Location:
Mclean, VA retail location and workshop.

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
