Job Description

Role Overview

Join our team at Nevada Gold Mines, a leading gold mining business focused on discovering, developing, and operating top-tier assets with exceptional individuals. As we expand our workforce, we are seeking a **Senior Electrical Engineer** to join us at the Turquoise Ridge complex. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintenance operations for the Process, Surface, and Underground sectors focusing on medium and low voltage equipment. In addition to overseeing construction projects to ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards, the Senior Electrical Engineer will contribute to a safe working environment that aligns with our commitment to employee well-being and community sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct engineering design, calculations, and analyses
  • Manage RCM/RCA processes and provide essential training
  • Lead RCA and RCM analyses, develop recommendations for risk mitigation
  • Offer technical expertise for power distribution, controls, and instrumentation systems
  • Supervise maintenance strategies and plans implementation
  • Collaborate with design consultants and ensure project compliance
  • Oversee construction, commissioning, and project delivery
  • Contribute to electrical equipment shutdown activities
  • Act as a backup supervisor when needed
  • Participate in networking forums for continuous learning and development
  • Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Expertise in RCA and RCM
  • Professional Engineer license preferred
  • Experience in project management advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Minimum of three years field experience in maintenance or project engineering
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Excellent communication and commitment to health and safety
  • Experience with contract management
  • Ability to work in dynamic and challenging environments
