Description

CWTC is looking for DSPs House Lead to provide direct support care for our consumers in our CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement) Facilities. The job duties are but are not limited to leading the DSP team to maintaining a clean and sanitary bedroom and bathroom, assisting with daily hygiene, ADLs, meal preparations, medication administration, etc. House Leads participating as a member of the team will be assisting individuals to be as independent as they possibly can . We are looking for candidates that are adaptable, organized, able to multitask, efficient, a positive role model, able to redirect behavior, exercises good judgment and decision-making skills, and maintain and positive direction to give our consumers the care they need. Previous supervisory or DSP or CNA certification, experience as a CNA or in the Healthcare, Caregiver, Direct Care field is preferred, but it is not a requirement. CWTC provides paid training and certification to individuals hired who do not have the necessary DSP certification and/or CPR/FA/AED certification. Other opportunities for training and for growth within the company are available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Track resident activity sheets and follow up with DSP staff for completion if necessary
2. Remove programming data sheets monthly and replace with new and follow up with DSP staff for completion if necessary
3. Schedule hair appointments for residents
4. On call every other week to address call ins and initial after hour concerns.
5. Work one Saturday and one Sunday each month (not on the same weekend)
6. Schedule and follow up on all emergency drills
7. Weekly inspection of CILA vehicles
8. Coordinate funds and transportation for scheduled activities then follow up to ensure activities were carried out as specified
9. Assist CILA Manager with completing DSP OJT certifications
10. Schedule and coordinate medical appointments and work with pharmacies on resident medications
11. Order facility supplies
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Transportation of or escorting of residents as needed
2. Coordinate additional duties with the CILA Manager
3. Attend staff meetings and required trainings
4. Perform other tasks, not inconsistent with qualifications or regular duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical conditions include bending, standing, stooping, driving, lifting up to 25 pounds, and being able to stay awake during assigned hours. Environmental conditions include working around cleaning chemicals and kitchen appliances. Interpersonal conditions include communicating clearly with adults with disabilities. Work assignments and schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
RELATED CONDITION: All employees are responsible for reporting any information, however acquired, pertaining to possible abuse or neglect of consumers to the Director of Quality Improvement, the Safety Director, or the Executive Director.
SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION: Employees must follow all safety policies and use necessary protective equipment when applicable. Employees are responsible for reporting safety hazards and/or accidents to their supervisors immediately.
