Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable (AP) Associate will
be responsible for accounts payable, payment reconciliation, expense review, and associated analysis in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. The position also supplies regular reports and identifies improvements in processes to increase effectiveness.

AP ASSOCIATE KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Process vendor invoices, check requests, credit card receipts, and expense reports for paymentsEnsure that all invoices are properly approved and coded in the general ledgerResearch and resolve vendor invoice issues or discrepanciesReconcile credit card activity monthlyMaintain AP recordsUnderstand and adhere to all internal control processes and responsibilitiesProvide support and backup to AccountantContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge:
Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish them in a detailed, timely mannerExcellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external partnersManagement of multiple priorities and attentive to detailsSelf-motivated, and comfortable with both independent and collaborative processesMS Office products proficiency and ability to quickly learn software programs, Excel proficiency a plusAbility to accurately enter data into software programsBasic accounting knowledge to research and resolve accounting issues
preferredOther Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of related experienceExperience with accounting software is preferredBe adaptable and flexible to change and willing to assume other responsibilities as assigned
