Job Title: Women's Basketball Team Assistant

  • Execute essential program functions for the Women's Basketball team in alignment with the college's values and under the guidance of the Head Coach.
  • Act as a mentor for student athletes, fostering individual and team growth, supporting academic success, and promoting positive social interactions.
  • Contribute to team development activities such as recruiting participants, athlete conditioning, and monitoring academic progress.
  • Lead team practices, provide coaching during games, and exemplify good sportsmanship and interpersonal skills.
  • Assist in recruiting student athletes by evaluating prospects, participating in recruitment events, and maintaining student files.
  • Engage in athletic promotion and fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with college, conference, and NCAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation, or related field.
  • Prior experience in high school or college coaching, preferably with collegiate playing background, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with college athletic programs and demonstrated expertise in team sports.
  • Proven teaching and coaching abilities, along with effective communication skills to interact with students, parents, coaches, and other college personnel.
