With future plans to expand, St.Joseph's Westgate Medical Center, a 60,000 square foot hospital, includes a 12-bed full-service emergency department, a 24-bed inpatient unit, 2 operating rooms, 2 procedural rooms, dedicated space for diagnostic services, an ambulance bay and helipad.
The campus features some of the most innovative uses of materials to promote patient safety, patient satisfaction and medical efficiency.

PRN position required to attend NEO and Patient Care OrientationJob Summary:
Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care.
Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.
Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient's condition as needed.
Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc.

Minimum:
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Preferred:
BSN
Must have 1 to 2 years of experience in ED
Licensure:
AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.

BLS certification (AHA Only)
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
PALS certifcation within 6 months of hire
Pay Range
$ $45.78 /hour
