Position Description:

As a Journeyman Carpenter, you are responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. Job responsibilities include client communication, cost tracking, time-line evaluation, equipment inventory control, quality control, and safety compliance. Apprentice will be mentored in the management of jobsite quality control, safety, schedule and subcontract enforcement. As we continue to grow as an organization, you will be involved with training, mentoring, and supervising new staff members and will be involved in implementations of company-wide programs.


•Must possess ability to work and cope well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing and tight deadlines.


•Shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with clients, colleagues, supervisors and public.


•Practice consistent inventory control of all materials, equipment usage and time to specific projects.


•Prepare layout, estimate and measure dimensions and read plans with due-diligence ensuring all work is per code and specification.


•Select proper materials and utilize tools necessary per project scope.


•Maintain industry safety standards during all work performed and log anything that falls outside of regulation.


•Ensure that service requests and repairs are made correctly and on a timely manner.


•Participate in company training classes, as required.


•Perform all other duties as directed by the management and assist the overall team effort.


•Work through all weathers and seasons until the construction is done.


•Ensure compliance with permitted construction documents and document changes.


•Ensure jobsite security, including fire protection, police jobsite housekeeping and coordinate jobsite parking, traffic control.


•Perform any and all labor duties as required by the jobsite Supervisor, including labor needs and carpenter needs

•Ability to follow directions.


•Valid driver's license and insurance compliance preferred.


•Must have carpenter toolset including: Nail bags, hammer, drill/driver, saws etc
