Responsibilities and Authority:


The Buyer will be involved in the placing of service and indirect material purchaseorders, and following up with suppliers on delivery dates.

Requesting product and service information, pricing, availability, lead time.
Obtain the best possible price and lead-time for materials without sacrificingquality.
Perform necessary purchasing activities (ie PO's) in accordance with TSI quality and AS9100 (aerospace)requirements.
Expedite outside requirements accordingly to support manufacturing and other areas of the organization.
Coordinate with the Accounting vendors to clear 3-way match issues.
Source new suppliers and set up new suppliers in ERPsystem.
Engagein strategic buying for maintenance, and other areas focusing on proactive procurement rather than reactive order placements.
Buildand maintainpositive relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
